Paraffin-coated polyester thread

Paraffin-coated polyester thread is the industry standard for industrial sack sewing on fixed-head and portable machines. Made from 100% polyester with a count of Nm 20/4 (Ne 12/4) and ‘S’ twist, it is designed to provide a strong, uniform and continuous seam on high-speed packaging lines.

Advantages of the paraffin finish

The paraffin treatment (7–8%) is key to the thread’s performance in sack-sewing machines:

• It reduces needle heating at high speeds.
• It improves glide through the needle eye and the guides.
• It minimises thread breaks during production.
• Extends needle life and reduces machine downtime.
